Snorkelling in the Great Barrier Reef

Description

We depart from Marina Mirage at 9.00am and arrive at the outer Great Barrier Reef at about 10.30am to have morning tea. We then visit 3 breathtaking sites for snorkelling as you enjoy the wonders of the largest collection of coral reefs in the world. We provide you with quality dive and snorkel gear, wetsuits, lycra suits, prescription masks, flotation devices. In addition we provide you with professional supervision, comprehensive snorkelling safety brief, tuition and guided snorkel tour. We also offer flotation devices and in-water assistance if required. This experience caters for non-swimmers and first time snorkellers.

After snorkelling you''ll enjoy a well deserved tropical buffet lunch before one of our experienced and helpful crew members hosts an interpretive Reef Chat. On board there are hot fresh water showers. We then have afternoon tea before departing the reef at 3.00pm and returning to the Marina at 4.30pm.

Location

Port Douglas (Cairns and Tropical North QLD - Queensland)

Complementary hotel transfers are available from the Port Douglas area.Transfers can be arranged from Cairns and Palm Cove, but may impose an additional fee.

Participant Guidelines

Asthma & some medical conditions wiil prevent you from diving without a Queensland dive medical. Child rates apply to those aged 4-14 yrs inclusive.

Hotel transfers from the Port Douglas area can be arranged once your booking has been confirmed.

Must be booked at least 2 days before activity.

Please note that a $12 fuel levy and a $5 Environmental Management Charge are payable per person on the day of travel.

Session Length

We board at 8.40am for a 9.00am departure and spend 5 hours at the reef. You will have the opportunity to snorkel at three different sites throughout the day. We spend about 1.5 hours at each site. We return to marina at 4.30pm.

Vessels take a maximum of around 65 pasengers per day
