Platypus & Rainforest Eco Safari

Description

Join us on a door to door journey through the beautiful Pioneer Valley. Our friendly guides will share with you stories and history of the local area including the tale of how it was founded and settled by John Mackay back in 1860. Let our guide take you on an interpretative walk through the Rainforest in Eungella National Park, Queensland's largest sub-tropical rainforest national park. You will then be treated to traditional Billy Tea & Damper for morning tea at our private bush hut "The Finch Hatton Hilton". It is at this secluded piece of the Australian bush, with it's bubbling freshwater stream, that you will have a traditional "Aussie" BBQ lunch with all the trimmings. After lunch it's on to the top of the Clarke Range to take in the magnificent views of the Pioneer Valley. The views stretch all the way back to Mackay from a height of 2,400ft at the Eungella Holiday Park. At the Park you can try home made ice cream or a cup of coffee or tea before going on to Broken River in Eungella National Park to spot the family of Platypus in its natural habitat
